Rotoris Watches Raises $3 Million in Seed Round Led by Nikhil Kamath and Vivek Oberoi

Rotoris Watches, a brand-new Indian analog wristwatch company, was able to raise $3 million in a seed funding round. The main investors were Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and actor-investor Vivek Anand Oberoi. Along with them, a number of prominent venture firms and angel investors participated in the round, thus making it one of the most significant early-stage deals in India’s consumer products space this year.
Various venture capital firms such as Venture Catalysts, 100 Unicorns, and Tanmay Bhat had put money into the funding round. Besides that, there were more than 30 founders and industry leaders who invested in the company. Among the contributors on their own, there are Varun Alagh of Mamaearth, Gaurav Khatri from Noise, Siddharth Dungarwal of Snitch, and Nitin Jain of OfBusiness. Also, the founders of Shiprocket, GoKwik, Zypp, and Dr. Vaidya’s were among those who took part in the round.
The money raised by Rotoris is aimed at helping the company to set up its production facility, enhance the work being done in its assembly division, and increase its engineering capabilities. In addition, the company will be looking to broaden its supply chain collaborations and create some initial stock to enable the commercial launch. Some of the money will be set aside for hiring new staff members in product development, design, and brand teams.
Rotoris has its eyes on New Delhi for the location of its first physical experience store. It is going to be more than a simple retail outlet, the founders believe. It will be a place where customers can engage with the brand, get to know the product quality and be immersed in the startup’s design philosophy without having to buy the product.
The startup is being positioned as an engineering-led brand focused on analog watches with mechanical movements and in-house assembly. The founders Aakash Anand, Prerna Gupta, Anant Narula, and Kunal Kapania are a combination of design, operations, and consumer brand expertise. Among them, Anand has been instrumental in scaling the fragrance brand Bella Vita Organic, hence has gained hands-on experience in the lifestyle product business sector in India.
In January 2026, Rotoris would be launching its products commercially. The company came up with five watch collections at the beginning. There are Auriqua, Monarch, Astonia, Arvion, and Manifesta among these collections. Every collection will have the finest of materials like the glass made of sapphire crystal, and a combination of automatic and quartz movements. Besides that, the watch cases will be fabricated with 316L stainless steel, which is a material that is not only strong but also resistant to corrosion.
Each model will be a limited edition and will carry an individual number, which is a technique that can help establish exclusivity and increase the demand for timepieces among watch enthusiasts. In fact, this is an approach that is becoming more and more popular in other luxury sectors where collectors and early adopters are attracted by limited runs and the artistry involved.
On the one hand, this allows the company to have a certain degree of protection while on the other hand a certain number of risks, against rivals that are highly competitive and valuing their strong points, as Rotoris will be able to count on a high degree of credibility and on a great number of resources, thanks to the strong support by a well-known crowd of investors. As a matter of fact, analog watches have a very stable fan base, and the brand is quite confident that there is space for new players who can combine design, engineering, and an attractive brand story.
The successful fund-raising and the well-defined plan provide Rotoris with a solid springboard for their full-scale commercial operations that are scheduled for next year.
